Topology representing neural networks reconcile biomolecular shape, structure, and dynamics

چکیده
Topology-representing networks (TRNs) generate reduced models of biomolecules and thereby facilitate the 5tting of molecular fragments into large macromolecular complexes. The components of such complexes undergo a wide range of motions, and shapes observed at low resolution often deviate from the known atomic structures. What is required for the modeling of such motions is a combination of global shape constraints based on the low-resolution data with a local modeling of atomic interactions. We present a novel Motion Capture Network that freezes inessential degrees of freedom to maintain the stereochemistry of an atomic model. TRN-based deformable models retain much of the mechanical properties of biological macromolecules. The elastic models yield a decomposition of the predicted motion into vibrational normal modes and are amenable to interactive manipulation with haptic rendering software. c © 2003 Elsevier B.V. Despite considerable enhances in recognizing hand gestures from still images, there are still many challenges in the classification of hand gestures in videos. The latter comes with more challenges, including higher computational complexity and arduous task of representing temporal features. Hand movement dynamics, represented by temporal features, have to be extracted by analyzing the total fr...
متن کاملOPTIMUM SHAPE DESIGN OF DOUBLE-LAYER GRIDS BY QUANTUM BEHAVED PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION AND NEURAL NETWORKS
In this paper, a methodology is presented for optimum shape design of double-layer grids subject to gravity and earthquake loadings. The design variables are the number of divisions in two directions, the height between two layers and the cross-sectional areas of the structural elements. The objective function is the weight of the structure and the design constraints are some limitations on str...
متن کاملAN INDEX REPRESENTING STRUCTURE-CATABOLIC FATE RELATIONSHIPS OF AMINO ACIDS
Based on the Randic suggestion of the resolution of a structure into shape, size, and function an index representing structure-catabolic fate relationships of amino acids is constructed. The index obtained by multiplying three factors; (nb2 + nr), nc and M; representing shape, size and function respectively, where nb2 = number of double bonds, nr = number of rings, nc = number of carbon atoms, ...
متن کاملAdaptive Neural Network Method for Consensus Tracking of High-Order Mimo Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems
This paper is concerned with the consensus tracking problem of high order MIMO nonlinear multi-agent systems. The agents must follow a leader node in presence of unknown dynamics and uncertain external disturbances. The communication network topology of agents is assumed to be a fixed undirected graph. A distributed adaptive control method is proposed to solve the consensus problem utilizing re...
متن کاملSelf-organizing neural networks bridge the biomolecular resolution gap.
Topology-representing neural networks are employed to generate pseudo-atomic structures of large-scale protein assemblies by combining high-resolution data with volumetric data at lower resolution. As an application example, actin monomers and structural subdomains are located in a three-dimensional (3D) image reconstruction from electron micrographs. To test the reliability of the method, the ...
